D2. Justify the creation process against the original concept documentation
Here bellow is my storyboard to best see the comparison of the footage and the drawings.
As can be seen above, my footage has some similarities with the storyboard I previously made. A good example would be rush number 2 has resemblances to shot number 16 from scene 3. The drawing shows a stick man with a pointed arrow showing where the character will be moving. Within the footage, I ensured to have it filmed with a wide shot while having my actor walk from beside the camera to the end of the hall. The reason for that I wanted my actor to walk away from me in both the storyboard and the documentary as that is how I wanted my ending shot with the credits to be. This would appear as the opposite of what the audience first saw which was the actor walking towards the camera. In case of anything, I went to get some extra footage of my actor for example rush footage number 3. This video shows my actor recording a vast amount of sounds such as the door. It may not appear on my storyboard but if needed I will be using it to extend the length of the documentary in case it doesn’t meet the length requirement. In the storyboard my character appears to be getting sounds from multiple sources such as shot number 5 and 6 from scene 2, the video I took would be placed here if there are any problems. |

Rush footage number 4 is the usual shot I used for the interview which was taken with a medium shot. Both the drawing and the video show the actor in the middle sitting down being interviewed. This shot is taken from the whole interview I had with my actor, this video would then be used as a blueprint for where I would be placing music and sound effects including any videos of him recording foley sounds. Whilst the shot was taken with good quality and there are no problems with the visuals, I made the mistake of only using one camera for the whole interview. This is why I decided to use shot with a zoom in edit on post so it resembled shot 9 from scene 3, using a medium close up shot is needed as it is conventional to have in a documentary.
Rush footage number 6 is taken from the shot number 11 scene 3 of the band playing in the concert. In case of needing more footage, I wanted to take different angles for the actors as having different shots of the same thing helps make the production look more professional and can help lengthen the same scene. Like rush footage number 3, this is also some extra footage in case of any issues with the original shot taken.
