P2: Generate ideas for a new interactive media product in for a client brief.
BRIEF - Cambridge Junction
The brief I have chosen to use is the Cambridge Junction. The brief will require me to build a multimedia website to promote their event programme such as music, theatre, dance and events. The website is required to appeal to a wide audience to increase ticket sales and include merchandise for those who want to buy something online. When making the website I will have to make sure the website is easy to use as it needs to appeal to a wide audience. I will also need to include links to the venue's social medias along with up to date information of events on the website. |
Content
On my website, there will be various interactive features inside my website so it is easy-to-use. As the website will be easy to use, this will invite a larger audience such as a range from 15 to 35. As the brief states, “they required that the relevant information is easy to find and that the product is not overly complex to use”.
On the website, I will also be including content such as images, video gallery, maps, contact information, information about the company, dates of the events.
Target Audience
My website Will target an audience from the ages of 15 to 35. To ensure my website targets this audience, to writing on the website will be large so it is easy to read for those older. On the website I will also make sure to include social media pages as the younger audience will probably want to follow the company social media without having to find it directly on the social media. If the website only has text, then it might not be very interesting to those who may be younger. Including videos would be more interesting for them, this would be found in the gallery which would contain phots and videos.
What the client wants
Users Needs
The users will want to see the specific shows and events that will be available in the future to further purchase a ticket. As this website will be posting up to date events, the user may want to subscribe through email or social media.
Delivery format and platform
The website will be accessible through computer and mobile phones, as the audience that uses this are most likely to have one of those two platforms.
