P2 - Create a concept documentation or design
Mind map
Here bellow is a mind map with some of the ideas I came up for my prdocution
MoodBoard
Here bellow is a mood board that better shows the kind of visuals I would like my short documentary to have.
P3. Produce a pre-production material
Risk Assestment
Storyboard
Budget Sheet
Recce Shots
In these recce shots as it can be seen above, I am using the sound studio and the filming studio for this production. The sound studio will be used as a setting to film my interviewee in.
Documentary/ Music Inspiration
Short Documentary
What inspires me is the documentary’s visuals and ability to appear so interestingly to the audience. Also its ability to be informing whilst being less than 4 minutes long. |
Artist inspiration
What inspires me here is its use of using random sounds to play a song. |
M2. Discuss the issues and risks involved in producing the planned promo
When making this planned promo, there are a few risks that I need to be wary about before starting my production. For starters one of the risks, I could be facing is copyright strikes and having to pay a fine for distribution of copyrighted content for profit. I would avoid this by refraining myself from using anyone's copyrighted material in my product such as images, visuals, and audio. I will most likely be needing a background track for my documentary so it looks and sounds professional, I will be getting my soundtrack from Youtube and I will ensure it is a non-copyrighted audio file. I will then be having my product copyrighted to my name to ensure people don’t copy my production.
As I will be conducting an interview, one potential issue could be the interviewee using inappropriate language such as swearing, because of this I may run into several issues such as getting a higher age rating for my product or it is deemed inappropriate for certain audiences. As I intend for this product to be seen by the widest audience possible, that could be a setback. I would avoid any complications by informing my interviewee that any wrong use of language is unacceptable and therefore should do their best at avoiding so.
Many media products are taken down from the market after having been found to contain slander, inappropriate images and videos, and rude symbols. My documentary won’t be needing to worry about this as one of my top priorities to avoid having any issues with the law and viewers. Once my product is in post-production, I will be making sure no offensive or inappropriate things are shown, to be sure I will also be having a focus group to look at my documentary and give me feedback in areas I could improve such as if is appropriate to people from all ages and colours and ethnicities.
